Adding efficiency policies

You can use System Manager to add efficiency policies to run the deduplication operation on a FlexVol volume for a specific time and to specify the job schedule.

Steps

1.	From the Home tab, double-click the appropriate storage system.

2.	Ensure that the left navigation pane displays the Vservers hierarchy.

3.	In the navigation pane, select the Vserver and click Policies > Efficiency Policies.

4.	Click Add and specify the policy name.

5.	Select the schedule. You can specify the maximum runtime duration of the efficiency policy, if required.

System Manager allows efficiency policies only with time-based schedules.

6.	Click Add.
